7 and a half months old!!! Where has the time gone?!

C is becoming a wonderfully chill yet fun loving baby. I fall in love with her more every day. Other than the week or so after she gets a new tooth, she is very well behaved and makes me look like a really good mother. ha! Speaking of teeth, she has her two front bottom incisors. We are working on learning how to eat thicker and clumpier food, but for now it is baby food mixed with grains. She ate her first mashed avocado yesterday and we are looking forward to eating more "real" foods! I made a few batches of homemade baby food which she wholeheartedly rejected. I will try again...

She is a very active baby and spends most of the day on the floor rolling, sitting, "army-crawling." She like her toys but loves any object in the room that isn't a toy. Her newest favs are plastic solo cups, her comb, saltine crackers in the wrapper, and my PJ pants. Crazy child! We are anticipating her crawling any week now. I refuse to baby-proof until she does. (too much work!)



C is slowly practicing her "words." She likes to babble on about anything and everything. She especially likes being loud. At church. Her favs are "ba ba ba ba ba" and just learned "maaaa ma."

She is a star sleeper, for which I am very thankful! Night routine is a diaper change, bedtime lotion, fresh sleeper, nursing time, about 3 seconds of "cuddling" in the rocker, then she grunts until I place her in her crib where she rolls around for 10 min before putting herself to sleep with the pacifier.

Summer time brings a whole new range of "firsts" to explore. Here she is for her first swim!
