Add a 3-week old to the mix and, well, anniversary plans get pretty unorganized. The highlights this year were that we both got super cute haircuts, picked out cards, and went out to a fancy Hamilton's dinner downtown. Our good friend Jen even watched Celia for us! (God bless peds nurses! I can trust her more than myself. My instructions as a first time mom for my 3 week old baby were: "she likes being swaddled at night if she fusses and fresh milk is in the fridge. Goodbye!")
We realized this was the last nice dinner out alone for awhile so we made sure to order everything on the menu. Our friends have turned us into foodies, so I must mention what we feasted on:
*Grilled Aged Prime Beef Tenderloin w/ White Truffle Butter, Garlic Whipped Potatoes, Asparagus & a Burgundy Reduction
*Pan roasted jumbo lump crabcakes with a lemon basil aioli over jasmine rice with some fancy asian slaw salad.
*House rum cocktail and glass of "Symphony" white wine
*espresso creme brulee and assorted fruit sorbets and frambroise port for dessert
